Durima is a poor, non-agricultural, industrial, high-population desert hellworld, with a billion or more sophonts struggling to survive in a inhospitable environment.

  • Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants. Survivors often form intense survival skills and tend to be grim realists.
  • This world has no free-standing water.
  • As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
  • It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
  • Despite this world's industrial prowess, the world remains poor. Some blame it on the high prices of food, which must be imported. Others blame the nature of a hellworld. Whatever this reason, something needs to change in order for this world to prosper.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Khukish Subsector of Corridor Sector in the Domain of Vland.
  • This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.

Local Nobility[edit]

Durima, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of three members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.

The New Era (Click Show to reveal)
The withdrawal of the Corridor Fleet to the imperial core move per orders received 221-1117 left the Khukish subsector open to invasion by Vargr opportunists. The Vargr immediately took advantage of the lack of opposition. The Regency of Deneb and New Ziru Sirka staged various manoeuvres in the subsector in 1118 in the attempt to recover Depot (Corridor 1511) but the clash between the Regency fleets and the New Ziru Sirka forces at Durima in early 1119 effectively ended that phase of the war.
