Durendal is one of the most terrestrial planets in the subsector. Away from the volcanic mountain ranges, portions of the planet are very pleasant, and the Durendals have settled into the sort of yeoman farming that is the ideal for many Sword Worlders. The thin soil needs careful maintenance, but the volcanic ash of the previous millennia makes good feedstock for fertilizer, and Durendal’s farms are quite productive.{{Page cite|name=Sword Worlds|version=GURPS Traveller|page=58}}
