Dua has both an unbreathably thin atmosphere and a lack of surface water making habitation by sophonts difficult. The system has a population between 10,000 and 10 million, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. This world contains an archaeological site with artifacts suspected to be from the now-vanished Ancients. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Khandi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Dua, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Laashiid.

History and background

It is home to a scattered nomadic people known as the Separationists. They move from oasis to oasis that dot the planet, seeking food and water. They trade small items with each other. Their exact origin is shrouded in mystery. They appear to be of mixed Slyean-Vilani descent, but the time of their arrival is unknown. Their language and culture is very distinct.

A small IISS team are now resident on the world, trying to unravel the mystery.
