Doomed Worlds are those mainworlds and secondaries that have been cut off from interstellar commerce due to wartime or apocalyptic conditions.

  • It is a world or planet type based on a failing socioeconomic or sophontigraphic condition rather than physical or planetological characteristics.

Description (Specifications)

Worlds which require high technology to deal with troubling local conditions such as hostile atmospheres, environments, climates, or other conditions tend to die out or at least die back when technological spare parts, food imports, and other necessary trade goods are cut off from them.

History & Background (Dossier)

Doomed worlds have been a near endemic problem when interstellar governments have been overthrown causing disruption and often a flat breaking of the interstellar calm and status quo, such as it may be.
