Diplomatic Language is any language used in the discussion of official political positions between states. e.g. The language of Diplomacy within the First Imperium was Vilani; within the Third Imperium it is Anglic and within the Zhodani Consulate Zdetl.
Diplomatic Language can also mean the formal terminology within the Diplomatic Language used to carefully convey the messages between states. Generally, the language is deliberately bland and inoffensive even if the message sender is declaring war!
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Diplomatic Languages have been around for many millennia and are generally the language of a state that holds (or recently held) pre-eminent cultural power. Anglic has been the main Diplomatic Language of the Imperium since it displaced Vilani during the Rule of Man.
