The Desolate Path is the route to rimward taken by the Last Armada as they fled from the destruction of Terra at the hands of the Vilani Imperium, characterised by the hardships and vicissitudes that were suffered.
The early years of the Desolate Path are called the Exodus. The Desolate Path is known from fragmentary data that survived the deliberate destruction of astrographic charts and records in an event called Cutting the Ties. The primary source is the Zelig Journal, a document that survives from the time.
