The Gukaini Fabrique Delta 7 class Space Superiority Fleet Fighter is a combatant smallcraft.

Description (Specifications)
The single crew member has an acceleration couch on the bridge, and has room for a passenger, if needed. The bridge was installed to ensure that the PDE Model 4 computer would have unrestricted access to avionics, fire control, and maneuver profiles. Seamless integration with no reduction of workload capacity was the goal. The power drain was considered worth the advanced software for target acquisition and tracking capabilities.
The TL–10 military design was required by the Jurisdiction of Nadon to consistently deliver accurate, dense sheaf, missile overlay saturation fire missions against enemy ships of the line. They add their massed fire to the batteries of missiles on their carrier. Despite their aggressive 6 G acceleration, the power drain of the PDE Model 4 computer limits their dog fighting agility. The cost savings of the unstreamlined dispersed structure precludes refueling missions. The lack of extended life support restricts their operational duration, and limits patrol endurance to less than 24 hours. Despite the amble bridge, there is no room for a fiber optic back up system for the notoriously EMP sensitive PDE systems.

History & Background (Dossier)
The Gukaini Fabrique, and the Hanlon Central Treaty Defense Committee collaborated on a deep space fighter concept with an eye for offensive punch at a reasonable price. Several design trade offs were made to keep costs lower, these were not entirely successful. The Delta 7, is the latest in a series of fighter concepts. The designers focused on a specific mission and abandoned multi-role flexibility. As a result the Gukaini Fabrique Delta 7 class Space Superiority Fleet Fighter, emerged from a firm best know for repair and re-manufacture of civilian products. As required by the Jurisdiction, on the planet of Hanlon (B624776-A) the Central Treaty Defense Committee made sure to build the required number of 30 ton warships. Large squadrons of twelve fighters were assigned to each of the four Euphrates Rio class Fleet Tenders.
Operational History
Operational History: Fleet procurement complains that these boats are over priced for their size. The Gukaini Fabrique delivered a good missile delivery system, that places the pilot's survival as a lower priority. The best defense is a great offense, or so it is said. These birds frequently come home shot up, and filled with holes, and pieces blown away. That is if they make home at all. The Delta 6 precursor was famously called the Widowmaker, it wasn't ever clear who the widows were. The Delta 7 has seen a consistent evolution toward a more effective weapons delivery platform. Most of this designs costs can be traced to the huge fusion powerplant and the PDE computer systems.
