After surviving dotcom burnout and a chemical engineering career that fizzled, I became a stay-at-home dad. Description (Biography)

After surviving dotcom burnout and a chemical engineering career that fizzled, I became a stay-at-home dad. When I'm not hounding the kids to finish their homework, chopping wood, or renovating some part of the house, I'm free to let my imagination take me away. The transcripts of these journeys become stories, at least the coherent ones.

I started playing Traveller with the Big Black Book way back in the early 80s. After a pause during my college years, I found MT and, soon after, TNE. I started my Traveller website as an aide for the players in my campaigns. From there it became a means of practicing PERL (DED's Dice Roller and DED's Random Word Generator).

While my interpretation of Traveller may differ from the standard, Traveller has always provided that open sandbox for its fans to run with it and do just that. There's a certain level of joy that comes with creating a story from a bunch of UWPs, a starship, and a bunch of characters. It's one that I hope I never outgrow.
