Corsair Alliance

The Corsair Alliance was a state founded by the Duke of Kaasu in the Lemish and Naadi Subsectors of the Corridor Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)

From its capital at Alfive (Corridor 2209), the Corsair Alliance has hung-on in the face of Vargr pressures and Vilani (New Ziru Sirka) hostility.

Founded by Criston Lans Rehman, Duke of Kaasu about a year after the fall of Kaasu to the Glory of Taarskoerzn following the treachery of Jan Rehman Marquis of Kaasu (His brother) in 1118.

The Worlds of the Corsair Alliance were first overrun by the Virus between 1134 and 1136, at which point the state ceased to exist.

Government & Politics (Leadership)

The Corsair Alliance was an alliance between two factions: The remains of the Imperial Navy - those that either didn't get taken for the Corridor Fleet's charge into Ilelish Sector as part of the Vengeance Fleet or were activated/constructed in the brief period before the over-running of Depot in 1118; and those Vargr Corsairs/Pirates that could be seduced into siding with the Sector Duke. The state was under Martial Law for the duration of its existence.
