General Description
The Congo class is a streamlined cone with a mean radius of 4.5 meters and a length of around 32 meters, giving it a total enclosed volume of approximately 1,350 cubic meters. A small enclosed compartment containing the bridge, x8 passenger acceleration couches and a stateroom is located forward, while the machinery and fuel tanks are located aft. The rest of the vessel is given over to cargo space: there is a loading ramp in the bow and large side hatches.
A basic deck plan of the vessel indicating the general layout and positioning of major elements.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
