History & Background (Dossier)
The Commonwealth was founded in 742 by independent Solomani of Asian and Pacific ancestry.
Gadjick (Alpha Crucis 3133) dominates the other worlds of the Commonwealth. While the Commonwealth is technically neutral, it has poor relations with the Solomani Confederation. The Confederation enforces a limited trade embargo with Gadjick, restricting sale of TL 11+ weapons and industrial products.
In 1086 the Commonwealth fought the brief Duni War with the Confederation, during which a single Confederation Navy fleet was able to defeat the upstart Commonwealth forces. Since the Duni War the Confederation has established new naval bases in Addision and Galloway subsectors to keep an eye on Gadjick.
