Colima has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Colima downport is approximately 10km inland from the effective startown of Lima.

Colima is a recently re-contacted culture that has self-developed nuclear fission reactors.

Most citizens associate themselves with a particular city, and cities then have relationships with other cities. Philosophical and cultural events are held constantly as a means of sharing ideas. With re-contact, a huge upswell of interest in star travel and other cultures has arisen.

The Quasadan church has a bischofric here, but it apparently has made little headway in converting the largely agnostic and atheistic citizenry here, who prefer philosophy and science.
