The Cleth PLA MBT is a tracked vehicle.

Description (Specifications)[edit]
Cleth People's Liberation Army's Main Battle Tank (TECH LEVEL 8): This vehicle has moderately sloped hull armor and a crew of three (driver, gunner, commander). It has fully armored turret on the chassis deck. It is armed with a 13cm hyper velocity CPR with an auto-loader in the turret mount. It has a co-axial MMG and a pintel mounted HMG on the commander's hatch.

The pintel mounted HMG is typically operated by the vehicle commander, from his hatch. It has +2 signature, and can engage 4 targets. There is storage for 800 rounds, enough for 20 fire phases. The turret weapons are stabilized, and the HMG is not. The vehicle has TL 8 direct fire control. There is an auto-loader and a 30 round ammo bin. Rounds mass 46kg each, a full load of HEAP is included with the price. The main gun has a +3 signature when it fires and can engage a single target per fire phase. History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
For troops and vehicles in the Peoples Liberation Army the sealed environment and life support are critical for all protected forces operating on this planet. The frigid temperatures can be lethal for those unprotected. The vehicle's ground pressure is too high for quick cross country mobility. Their road speed is considered respectable for a tracked vehicle. Caution most be exercised when cornering to avoid throwing a track, or causing suspension damage due to the high ground pressure. However, the design will not bog down in snow, sand, soft ground or mud. The counter measures are an effort to compensate for its lack luster armor package. They have a low profile and low mass for vehicles typical of this role, which helps with transport. The very short operational duration can be lethal to crews who wander too far from support vehicles when the power goes out. Most crews insist on operating in CES with supplemental oxygen tanks in case of hull breach, power loss or the need to bail out. Logistical support and diligent maintenance is essential for these units.
