The Carrack class Tramp Liner is a popular merchant vessel for short-range trade in the Caliphate.
These starships have Jump-1 range and sufficient cargo capacity for profitable operations among the various worlds of Caliphate. The partially streamlined spherical configuration is lightly armored and is capable of gas giant refueling. The hull is a strange combination of Lead, Iron, and Cobalt and it is fitted with fuel scoops and a purification refinery. They carry a streamlined 20 ton launch.
