The nomenclature is a misinterpretation, a work order arrived Cannis IA, one robot, advanced prototype from the cannis factories. These codes were mashed together as the name of the model or class. These were eventually phased out in many places when faster, and more advanced drone grav vehicles took over the battlefield. Giant walking robots were too slow to catch these newer fusion armed Grav Tanks.

History & Background (Dossier)
A single operator can ride in the chest of this giant robot to direct its operations. The commander issues instructions and the robot body executes those orders. These were quite a shock to enemy soldiers when they first appeared on the battlefield. Eventually counter-measures were developed.
