Campobello is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and nonindustrial in nature.

  • These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • The worldlets require extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • This dangerous world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions make it dangerous to visitors.
  • This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Pasdaruu Subsector of Diaspora Sector in the Domain of Sol.
  • This world was colonized by and is controlled from Jedell (world).

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility

Campobello, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.

History-Era: Rebellion

Pirate activity in this system has always been extensive. For decades, the Campobello belt was little more than a collection of pirate shanty-towns. Now, corsair activity has been expanding and the loose pirate organization has been replaced by a powerful, almost religious, raider-cult led by Indro the Lightless.

  • Campobello system is a weapon-free zone, by order of Indro. All individuals, even non-pirates, who arrive there enjoy the "Lightless Peace," a strict prohibition against violence of any sort. Only one small moon of the outermost gas giant is exempt. The moon is known as Duel, and if that’s not what you’re there to do, you have no business being there.
