Murchison Davies was a long-time Council representative for Sulphur who retired to Selene in 297 for "health reasons".

Born in 232, Murchison Davies moved to Sulphur in the rush of 272 and was a significant organiser of the miners cooperative that became the planet's de-facto government. He became the organiser of the mission to the New Earth Council and had orchestrated the creation of the post of Councillor Observer for Sulphur by 286.

Murchison Davies acquired blocks of shares in the Queen of the Belt in both 290 and 296, and sold them on to Noor en Sabah in 297.
