The main export is the Vatabell, a local tuber which is both nutritious and tasty. A close second is Vatabell Distillate, a liquor brewed from the vatabell.

The Federation of Arden has embarked on a steady takeover of agricultural-related businesses on Caloran by insinuating itself into the food-processing industry. While the native Caloran farmers continue to raise their crops, the Federation has asserted increasing control over what passes through the port for export.

By 1200 Caloran is a member of the Federation of Arden.
