Byret is a rich and agricultural production world with a shirt-sleeve atmosphere and a balance of available surface water. The system supports a population in the millions of sophonts, lacking the industrial base to be completely self-supporting. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Mora Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector and in the Domain of Deneb. Byret, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight and the fiefdom of a baron. Both are members of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This is the homeworld of the Larianz, a Minor Race.
Astrography & Planetology
The smallest moon of Byret is a captured dense body in a wildly eccentric orbit that causes erratic tides once every three local years.

Native Sophont: Larianz
The Larianz are descended from four-limbed flyers native to Byret. They stand approximately 1.8m tall, massing some 60kg on average. The upper limbs are large wings, which when folded are also used for ground locomotion (...the Larianz effectively stand, and walk, on their "elbows"). The lower pair of limbs are modified for manipulation. The University of Mora Byret Cultural Anthropology Department as well as the Biology Department have been Studying the Larianz to determine their aptitude in fields such as the Imperial Marines. [2]
History & Background (Dossier)
Most of Byret's agricultural riches are controlled by large corporations, leaving little opportunity for smaller producers.
