The rank of Brigadier General (or just Brigadier) (O7) is the commissioned officer rank in the Imperial Army that commands a Brigade or has duties of similar importance.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
Each Brigade in the Imperial Army, Imperial Marines and many Mercenary and those few Huscarle units of this size will be commanded by a Brigadier General. Several staff posts at Division level or higher are also held by Officers with this rank.
The equivalent rank in the Imperial Navy is Commodore. The equivalent rank in the Imperial Marines is Brigadier General.
The appointment to this rank attracts the title of Knight[1].
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The word "brigadier" derives from the same root as the word "brigade" but the precise origin of "brigade" is obscure. However, the title is meaning The general officer who commands a brigade.
