Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Blue Ridge class Command Cruiser is a very strategically and tactically flexible system command ship.
Description (Specifications)
They are streamlined for ocean refueling if need be, with scoops and refineries. The are short of power and therefore suffer from low agility, despite their 6G acceleration. They rely on a compact meson spinal mount and six missile bays to destroy enemy shipping. They carry a small Marine detachment for security and boarding actions. They have a pair of launches, two attack speeders and two G-carriers to support Marine operations.
History & Background (Dossier)
Blue Ridge Class Command Cruisers have imperial fleet level mobility and have no trouble keeping up with Imperial Fleet maneuvers in the 6th Fleet where they serve. Command Cruisers are configured to act as flag ships for squadron and fleet actions to allow admirals to lead formations in battle and coordinate logistics in between. They can support orbital assault operations as well.
