Arcturus, subsector L of Solomani Rim contains 20 worlds with an estimated population of 24 billion, a per capita income of Cr7,429, and a total economy is BCr181,654. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr11,691 through 20 starports (11 Class A, 3 Class B, 3 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 1,614,425 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Arcturus maintain three Naval bases, and one Way station. The average technology level is 11 (with most between 9 and 13). The highest technology level is 14 at Scandia (Solomani Rim 2628), Anenerkuk (Solomani Rim 2723), and Kurland (Solomani Rim 3029).

Arcturus, subsector L of Solomani Rim contains 25 stars and 220 identified planets; 15 monostellar systems, five binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 17 of the 20 systems (85%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, no Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, four Poor (Po) worlds, one Vacuum (Va) world, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Arcturus has an estimated population of 24 billion distributed across five High population (Hi) worlds, six Moderate population (Ph) worlds, one Non-industrial (Ni) world, four Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Kurland (Solomani Rim 3029), Scandia (Solomani Rim 2628), Hathor (Solomani Rim 2623), Tewfik (Solomani Rim 2528), and Melchior (Solomani Rim 2626). The population consists of 2 sophont groups including one native sophont.

Third Imperium

The Third Imperium has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated population of 24 billion, a per capita income of Cr7,429, and a total economy is BCr181,654. The governments in Third Imperium maintain three Naval bases, and one Way station. The average technology level is 11 (with most between 9 and 13). The highest technology level is 14 at Scandia (Solomani Rim 2628), Anenerkuk (Solomani Rim 2723), and Kurland (Solomani Rim 3029).

The subsector has two worlds of unusual character: Cymbeline and Thorwald.

Cymbeline is a massive planet with a paradoxically thin atmosphere. Because of the world's high gravity, the breathable portion of the atmosphere is concentrated in low-lying areas at or near sea level. Much of the population lives in sub-sea level depressions. The air at higher elevations is too thin to support human life.

Thorwald is the home of an unusual plant-like life form: the Leyden Tree. Internal secretions form a metal central core for that acts like a lightning rod. When lightning strikes, the charge is deflected through a network of filaments to cellular capacitors which use the electricity to convert organic molecules from low to high energy forms as a supplement to photosynthesis. An electrical storm over a Leyden forest is a spectacular sight, although best viewed from a distance.

The Arcturus Subsector is defended by 114th Fleet.
