The Allegiance Code or AC is a two to four letter designation for an interstellar government or polity.

Description (Specifications)

Two to four letters annotating the interstellar membership (typically in Charted Space) of the homeworld and its system.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Office of the Emperor, the Imperial Bureaucracy, the Imperial Interstellar Scout Service, the Travellers' Aid Society, the Merchant Service, the Educational Institutes, and many other interstellar organizations use this data for governance, interstellar economy, world surveys, and other necessary tasks.

Such data drives Charted Space.

First Survey Common Codes

First Survey codes range from the Holiday Year as a direct transfer from the Sylean Federation until the beginning of the Second Survey. While the data set wasn't called First Survey until the year 300, it was continually used and added to until the official declaration of the Second Survey in 995. It was expanded to 4-letters sometime after the First Civil War. The 2-letter codes were causing much confusion.

As Aslan Hierate The Hierate term is commonly misspelled as "Heirate", though both terms are not incorrect; a hierarchy of clans definitely influences politics within Aslan space, and there is much to do about the legacy of the clan and family, as heirs to past glory.
Cs Client State Are most often the rebellious elements of former Pocket Empires.
Dr Droyne World Known to researchers as the Droyne Oytrip Yatroy.
Hv Hive Federation Sometimes mistakenly called the Hiver Empire or Confederation.
Im Imperial Often simply called the Imperium, despite being the third of its kind.
Kk K'kree Two Thousand Worlds empire Was called the Centaur Empire for a number of years after First Contact.
Na Non-Aligned Independent worlds, mostly World-States are grist for the larger interstellar empires.
So Solomani Confederation The Solomani, once known as the Terrans have had extensive political turnover of governments.
Zh Zhodani Consulate The Zhodani have one of the most stable political systems known to Charted Space.

Second Survey Common Codes

The Second Survey allegiance code set built upon First Survey data and was initiated in 995. It has continually been added to since with the most current entries dating 1116.
