Akiva (World) Synopsis

• The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
• This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
• This world has high-grade living conditions with a good climate and a non-harmful environment. As such, this world is much sought after with large queues for immigration here.
• Most observers think that the planet's economy and population will prosper in the near future barring outside forces.
• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Argi Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector in the Domain of Vland.
• This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
• Akiva is home world to both the Scanian and the Aquans.
• About 60% of the population is composed of Scanians.
• About 30% of the population is composed of Aquans.
• About 10% of the population is composed of humans and other sophonts.

Description

Due to the extreme cold and gravity most visitors find it necessary to wear Environment suits during their stay. These suits increase body temperature to species normal while giving support against the effects of gravity and water. These suits, known as 'Exos' can be hired from the starport or from your hotel. Cost is generally about Cr3 per day.
