Age
The number of Imperial years that have passed since the character first appeared.
- It is a game mechanic and creature attribute.
Description (Specifications)
Age is the number of Imperial years that have passed since the character first appeared - by being born, hatched or built.
It should be noted that the number of years that the character has aged physically (the Subjective Age) may differ from the number of years that have passed in the outside universe. Low Passage in large quantities; or being part of a Frozen Watch for an extra long period; or some odd jump-related side effects; or time dilation near the few black-holes in charted space: all can cause the two ages to diverge. The subjective age is always less than the objective age in these cases.
It should be noted, that ageing - ultimately - has detrimental (and potentially fatal) effects on the character. Ageing cannot be delayed, but use of Anagathics can delay the move from one Age Category to another.
