History & Background (Dossier)
General
Aerfor is a Vargr Agricultural world located in Million Subsector of Deneb Sector, and enjoys a lucrative trade surplus as a supplier of luxury foods. Its free-range Akallesa[2] meat was popular in the Deneb and Corridor markets and its Gzaghaeksk[3] stalks were a proven imbalance item for filling the cargo holds of merchant starships.
Early History
This planet was named in Aekhu and settled by Aekhu Vargr. It was a member of a small Vargr interstellar state, Ksekgizoksdhaerzluenoe, in 100 and was still a member of a derivative of that state, Sandherroerghdoe Kaefoulto, in 210. It was forced out of Sandherroerghdoe Kaefoulto during the Vargr Campaigns and was admitted to the Imperium in 440[4].
Following the First Frontier War the system was classified as an Imperial Client State.
Aerfor contains Research Station Delta, established in 760.
Golden Era
The world is a notable market for Shinku University Research Directorate Robotics. It was in this period that the Research Station reached its peak influence on the planet. Its largely automated Agricultural estates were reasonably Wealthy and Aerfor was considered an up-and-coming world.
Aerfor Military, 1105
In 1105, Aerfor was noted as having a fleet of:
- 2x Corsair Squadrons
- 4x Corsair
- 1x Light Scout
- 1x Armed Fast Smuggler
- 1x Ambush Frigate
- 2x Defence Squadron
- 4x Police Cutter
- 4x System Defence Boat
- Mercenary Squadron
- 8x Mercenary Cruiser
- Other
- 20x Letter of Marque
- Approx. 10x Pirates
Point of interest: Research Station Delta
The subject of study for Research Station Delta is the entire Aerfor solar system, which has an extremely complex configuration. Aerfor and other bodies in the system have unusual concentrations of heavy elements near the core. About 25% of Aerfor's population are engaged directly with the research station[5].

Rebellion and Collapse/Abandonment
This fleet was inadequate to defend Aerfor against the Dzarrgh Federate during the Rebellion. The world was attacked in 1119 and fell in 1120. Thereafter, was the very porous border between the Dzarrgh Federate and the United Followers of Augurgh. The vast majority of the millions of refugees from the Khouth Cluster (and beyond) passed through Aerfor on their way to the Domain of Deneb. The Research Station collapsed in late 1119 as the researchers fled for the protection of the 61st Fleet. The Dzarrgh Federate invested a lot of effort trying to pillage/preserve the information left behind at the station.
Virus
As the linking world between the Dzarrgh Federate and the United Followers of Augurgh (UFA), Aerfor was a key planet for the advance of the Virus. It was overrun shortly after the fall of Khouth and was the staging base for the assault on the UFA. Aerfor had been fully overtaken by the end of 1142 and the robotic farms (which the Federate leaders refused to see as a key danger) were the main route for this takeover.
