Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Admiral Gorshkov class Missile Corvette is a light warship.
- It is a military ship and a Missile Corvette.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Admiral Gorshkov class Missile Corvette is a TL-15 missile corvette. Certain trade-offs were required to fit the Jump-5 jump drives along side the massive 6G maneuver units. The power plant had to be large enough to power the energy weapons, the massive Model/9 fib ship computer (...a big advantage for a design this small) and still deliver 5-Agility. Unfortunately, the fuel purification unit had to be dumped to make room for the fiber optical computer back-ups.
It is armed with a single particle accelerator turret, a pair of fusion guns and six triple missile turrets groups together as a single battery. They carry no marines, no armor and no defensive batteries. The fusion guns are often pressed into service for point defense versus fighters and missiles.
They are cramped for the fifteen crew, with only a small ship's locker.

Basic Ship Characteristics[edit]
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (...of ten subcraft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (...thousands of tons) where necessary. History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
They serve with the 306th Fleet. Their favorite prey are Vargr corsairs, which they can typically dismantle easily. The fleet likes to keep refined fuel caches for this unit as a result or pair it with a tanker when available.
