810th Fleet

Numbered Imperial fleet stationed in Old Expanses Sector.

The 810th fleet as it stands in 1108 is a small, garrison-like force designed to patrol the interior of the sector and protect merchant traffic. It also patrols the borders along the trailing edge of the sector and enforces interdictions of various worlds within the sector. Compared to the fleets found in the Spinward Marches, it is small indeed.

A little over 100 years ago the fleets in this area rivaled those in the Marches because of the Solomani Rim War. After the threat passed, however, many warships were scrapped or converted to merchant carriers.

Part of this fleet is the Battle Squadron 490 also known as BatRon 490, based on the Naval depot at Ultraneta (Old Expanses 1213). The BatRon 490 is composed of 2 Dreadnoughts, 3 Destroyers, 3 Destroyer Escorts and 6 Fleet Couriers.

Also based on the same world is Cruiser Squadron 87, CruRon 87. This Squadron consists of 8 Light Cruisers, 3 Destroyers, 6 Destroyer Escorts and 3 Bulk Ordinance Carriers.
