40th Squadron
Interstellar Vargr state in the Uthe subsector. Also known as Ekhlle Ksafi.
It consisted of the following six systems: Gvurrdon 1738 (B210577-C/6), Gvurrdon 1839 (B75827B-B/2), Gvurrdon 1936 (D546300-8/7), Gvurrdon 1938 (A9A325-5/7), Gvurrdon 2037 (B266545-9/3), and Gvurrdon 2137 (B645677-A/5).
The 40th Squadron was part of the Outworld Coalition during the 5th Frontier War. It contributed two fleets, the Gireel Fleet and the Uthith Fleet (Gireel and Uthith are two non-aligned worlds in Uthe (Gvurrdon 2338 and 2339) used as assembly points), to the war and attacked into the Regina subsector through Dentus towards Enope. The initial attack met little resistance, but the Vargr forces nevertheless wasted some time mopping up and consolidating.
The Imperium responded by sending the 212th Fleet from Rhylanor to the vicinity of Beck's World where the battle lines stabilized. In mid-1109, the Gireel Fleet was destroyed and the Uthith Fleet was forced back. On 252-1109, the Uthith Fleet negotiated a separate peace and withdrew from the subsector.
The fleets were both jump-3 capable. Of the ground forces involved, 73% were equipped to TL 13, 23% to TL 12, and 5% to TL 10.
