The 193rd Fleet serves the Third Imperium.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The 193rd Fleet's most likely opponents would be the Sword Worlders, who's tech level and jump capacity is less than Imperial and Zhodani forces, allowing a static defense. The 193rd has a high numbers of non jump capable monitors, serviced and redeployed by tenders. There is a single BatRon held at Frenzie, with much of the mobile assets being lighter units such as destroyers and light cruisers.

Goals (Mission)[edit]

Until end of Fifth Frontier War: (Regina Subsector)

After Fifth Frontier War: (Vilis Subsector)

Strategy & Doctrine (Operations)[edit]

(Regina Subsector)[edit]

The Fleet is to patrol offensively but fight defensively. The objective of fleet operations is to ensure that any thrust from the Zhodani Consulate must conquer the fleet or leave a large proportion of its forces behind to deal with a strong base in its rear.

(Vilis Subsector)[edit]

New recruits and transferees are subjected to a three month "probation" period where they are apprenticed to a higher ranking or more experienced veteran, who proceeds to indoctrinate the tenderfoot in the tenacious tactics favoured by this fleet. Vilis Subsector is hardly a garden spot, and low tech levels and poverty breed smuggling operations, and the 193rd's patient, determined demeanour makes them a bane to local "Kangaroos".

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

The 193rd Fleet was stationed in the Regina subsector prior to the Fifth Frontier War. Headquartered at Regina, detached elements of the fleet were stationed at Efate, Louzy, Menorb, and Yres. When the war started, the Zhodani 1st Assault Fleet feigned an attack on Regina that never materialized and moved on to besiege Efate.

The 193rd Fleet dug in and fought a static defense at Efate, leaving the defense of Louzy, Menorb, and Yres to the local system defence flotillas. The 193rd did not retreat further during the war and was able to liberate some worlds after the Zhodani for all practical purposes gave up on the Siege of Efate in mid-1109. It was relieved at Efate by Operation Iedshrpr.

The detachment of the 193rd at Triad (Gvurrdon 2436) has a quiet war. It would naturally fall if the Zhodani Consulate won, and was costly to assault in the mean time. A raid on the system and base (immediately after the war) was beaten off with the aid of armed Oberlindes vessels in port at the time.

The 193rd Fleet's Commander, INI was Rear Admiral Lord Santanocheev, based at Regina Naval Base at the start of the war. He was promoted to Sector Admiral (by the Duchess of Mora) and directed to conduct the war effort from his forward location. He was later sacked by the Duke of Regina upon his becoming the political leader of the war in 1109.

In the post-war fleet shuffle, the 193rd was moved to Vilis Subsector, leaving 1071st Imperial Marine Regiment for 213th Fleet and inheriting 3277th Imperial Marine Regiment from 23rd Fleet.
