Resfriado has an orbital period of 500 days around its star.
- It has an Axial Tilt of 75° – considered to be high – and a rotational period around this axis (a local day) of 21 standard hours.
The poles of the world always face in the same direction out-system as it orbits the star. The northern pole of Resfriado happens to be pointing towards the star Theta2 Eridani in Theta Eridani Subsector, about 30 parsecs to trailing: it is known locally as the Pole Star.
- Each pole experiences a 125 Day long Light Season, a 125 Day long Days Season, a 125 Day long Dark Season, and a second 125 Day long Days Season during the course of a complete orbit around the star (a local year).
- It experiences seasonally based climate shifts and weather events.
The world orbits towards the outer edge of the star's habitable zone.

Resfriado is strange world with a high axial tilt and wildly fluctuating seasons going from very cold weather to near tropical weather in an irregular cycle. That irregular cycle occurs according to no known scientific principle and is an anomaly. the original Terran settlers named it in a phrase from Terran Spanish.

Resfriado is a member of the Borethan Worlds region of the Borethane Cluster, a cluster and trade route lying across the border between Aldebaran Sector and Neworld Sector.
The world's culture is deeply rooted in the Central American and South American continental regions of Terra. Family, food, faith, and music play a huge part in people's lives, and generally the inhabitants have a slower, more relaxed outlook than many other worlds within the Confederation.
Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Confederation and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, but many see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.
World Starport (St)
Resfriado has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

This ruling bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucractic apparatus or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence, like the military.
