Rocamadour is a nonindustrial, pre-rich world still lacking adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Regulus Subsector of Alpha Crucis Sector.

Mainworld Data
Rocamadour is a cold world with a dense atmosphere. It is located in the habitable zone of the red dwarf it orbits, but is unusual for a world of its type because it is not tidally locked to its star. This is believed to be due to a collision with another planet sized object 50 million years ago.
Mainworld Size (S)
This world is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
This world has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
The high density and pressure of Rocamadour makes living at lower altitudes difficult. Settlement at higher altitudes is possible.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
This world has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water. There will be a number of small seas or one larger body of water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Due to the low temperatures the liquid oceans of the world are mostly covered by ice.

History & Background (Dossier)
Rocamadour is a world with a history of Solomani and Catholic settlement. The world is named for the Terran historical site of the same name due to the resemblance of the sole city on the planet.
World Starport (Sp)
This world has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which includes amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)
This world has a population of 10,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
World Government
This world is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.
World Law Level (L)
This world has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Technology Level (TL)
This world possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Demographics
Rocamadour was originally settled by Terran Catholics during the Rule of Man, but the original colony died out during the Long Night due to the inability of the world to sustain itself without interstellar trade. During the 400s the world was resettled by Solomani settlers who hoped they would be able to join the Consolidation of Turin.
World Culture
The world of Rocamadour is heavily influenced by Catholic settlement during the Rule of Man. The Solomani Catholic Church has a large role in the world's governance and is home to the Cathédrale Relativité. This unique place of worship resembles the medieval Terran cathedrals from the exterior, but the interior was modelled off the famous artistic work Relativity created on Terra in -2566. The grav plates that would have made the orthogonal staircases usable are no longer functional.
Historical Data
Rocamadour was initially settled during the rush of colonization immediately after the end of the Nth Interstellar War by Solomani searching for untamed worlds. Initially skipped for more promising worlds, the first settlements occurred approximately in the -2000s. Many failed attempts to set up permanent colonies occurred, but a successful city was established on a high mountain named Rocamadour. The world was named after this settlement.
During the Long Night the planet was abandoned due to the difficulty of interstellar trade. Once the establishment of pocket empires in the Alpha Crucis Sector caused stability the world was resettled around the year 400 by Catholic colonists who hoped to create a world which would be accepted by the Consolidation of Turin.
