Subsector K of Neworld Sector.

Description / Specifications

A sparse subsector with few systems, as of 1105 this was one of the borders of the Solomani Confederation, which has heavily settled the coreward region. Productive agriculture on New Prospect (2222) and Scepter (2121) supported the 4 billion people on Matins (1923).

Terran settlement of Farallon Subsector predated the Confederation significantly, however. During the Interstellar Wars, Terran emigrants established themselves in the systems of Troilus (2427) and Cressida (2429), both featuring hot, tropical worlds. Their distinct society thrives through to the present, remaining independent of any empire.

Farallon, subsector K of Neworld contains 11 worlds with an estimated population of 12 billion, a per capita income of Cr2,639, and a total economy is BCr33,418. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr39 through 9 starports (0 Class A, 3 Class B, 4 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 4,650 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 3 and 10). The highest technology level is 13 at Zeta Hydrae (Neworld 2221).

Farallon, subsector K of Neworld contains 15 stars and 114 identified planets; seven monostellar systems, four binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 10 of the 11 systems (90%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, one Poor (Po) world, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Farallon has an estimated population of 12 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, four Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, one Low population (Lo) world, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population worlds are Troilus (Neworld 2427) and Matins (Neworld 1923). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.

The Solomani Confederation has jurisdiction over six worlds with an estimated population of 4 billion, a per capita income of Cr856, and a total economy is BCr3,907. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr8 through 5 starports (0 Class A, 1 Class B, 2 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 950 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds.
