Capital of Lunion Subsector of the Spinward Marches. Lunion serves as the crossroads of commerce and information to Glisten (Spinward Marches 2036) and beyond, as well as the Border Worlds. Lunion's naval base is home to the Imperial 43rd Fleet, and its IISS facilities rival any in the Imperium.

Lunion is a high population, high technology, industrialized planet with a garden world environment. Lunion is a busy trade world, with large offices operated by several megacorporations, including the regional headquarters for Ling-Standard Products. In turn, the world administration of Lunion supports and promotes governmental policies most beneficial to corporate interests. Lunion is also home to the famous, if not exactly prestigious, Lunion School of Economics.

Non-Canon

Lunion's seas are kept liquid by internal heat generated by its close orbit of its primary. Areas close to the oceans benefit from the warm waters effects on the local climate. Lunion's native flora and fauna are clustered close to the seashores in strips generally 20 to 30 km in width. Beyond that the -100 and below temperatures present a chilling challenge to life.
