The advanced farming techniques used on Egang (Knoellighz 1034) B746774-A Ag Ga represent the cutting edge of the Infinity League Agricultural faction in food production and distribution. Centrally located in the heart of the polity and just inside Khuzedhoth Subsector, this world stands as an example of racial and cultural purity in the face of the polity’s dealings with the nearby Zhodani Consulate. Egang’s farmers and ranchers prefer to deal, clandestinely with other Vargr of Knoellighz Sector due to Charisma compatibility than be manipulated by the psionic Humaniti to Spinward.

For though the Infinity League has made a “deal with the devil” in opening up its borders to the Zhodani, Egang is one of the comfortably Balkanized worlds that unites against the Zhodani brand of psionics and psionic technology as tainted and manipulative. Though Vargr Psions are not outright seen as race-traitors, they are generally not welcome. Those Vargr Mentored or Vargr Wild Talents are given less bare teeth as long as they keep their Talents to themselves.

Egang has compensated for the Zhodani taint by lowering its Law Rating in response to the ever-present embassy offices of the Spinward Humaniti and the Zhodani are advised to keep to the Downport and Startown and away from rural farms and ranches. The crops farmed by 30 million Egang agrarians are frequently harvested and recycled by the upper echelon of technology. Fields can be slashed and burned, fertilized and begin a new crop faster than many other worlds of the Infinity League. This has however Tainted the already Thin atmosphere which the plant and ranched fauna do not seem to mind. Yet filtration masks worn by the Vargr have become necessary to keep up this world’s charismatic production.

Egang’s economy is further augmented by prospecting in the single, wide planetoid belt situated in the first orbit about the solar primary. Radioactive elements are found aplenty in this belt and have enriched the mining industry in-system. Two Gas Giants beyond Egang mainworld lend wilderness refueling to freight and prospectors here. The innermost Giant features an orbital processing platform that sends refined fuel to the mainworld Downport for sale to commuting system traffic.

Perhaps implanted by the Zhodani in 1112 who want to raise awareness, a single, Vargr social underground group has quietly attempted educating the locals concerning Vargr psionics and Psions. This has met with mixed results and sometimes has erupted in violent outbreaks. The local governments are at odds with this political action group and keeping the peace with the agrarians.

Empress Wave 1153

The locals of Egang, having joined the anti-psionic movements stunting progress in the Infinity League welcomed the Empress Wave and crowded the Downport to watch as Zhodani and Vargr Psions fled the mainworld in 1152. Riots broke out as the Startown law enforcement struggled to hold back the mobs of protesting agrarians from flooding the loading starship berths and landing fields. More than a few Psion, both Zhodani and Vargr were lynched despite the barricades and forces. Many more than the dead were injured. Many bystanders, assumed to be sympathizers, were attacked and had to be rescued by law enforcement. The Riot of 1152 was much televised and distributed, in hardcopy, across the Infinity League. The Office of the President publicly decried the Riot and re-assured the polity in a statement of the League’s independence from Zhodani influence even as trade continued with the Consulate.
