The language family of the Gl'lu sophonts, which can be heard across Deneb Sector and surrounding regions.

Gl'lu language has a slightly gurgling, popping quality.

The Gl'lu homeworld, Kubishush, suffers from rampant volcanism, which is sufficiently bad that their primary language has multiple words for 'destroyed by a volcano'. A Gl'lu can describe the exact circumstances and extent of damage, how long reconstruction or rehabitation will take, and the likelihood of a repeat eruption, in an impressive and grim shorthand that would be unnecessary elsewhere.

Lexicon[edit]

Ewang'vn: Akin to fate

Na: Particle meaning "one", as in a person, event, etc. worth noting for their particular qualities.

Sananes: "Young One". Adolescent chief of state on Kubishush

Unaga: "Exalted Ones". Elders with membership on the legislative body

Unan Olov: The native Gl'lu name for Kubishush.

Yulangngol: "Great Cataclysm". A natural disaster so great that even Gl'lu find it noteworthy; a once-in-several-generations catastrophe.
