• As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
• Its economy is bustling and an increase in living conditions is expected in the near future.
• It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Forquee Subsector of Massilia Sector in the Domain of Sylea.
• This world toils under the control of a military government with conditions reflecting that situation, including curtailed civil rights and limited freedoms.
• This world has an Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
• About 80% of the population is composed of baseline humans and other non-human sophonts.
• Around 20% of the population is made up of Geonee.

Liaw has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.

Liaw has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.

History & Background (Dossier)

The gas giants within this system form the hub of a relatively young clade of Jgd-il-Jagd. The clade was founded in 690 and now encompasses systems within four parsecs. The Imperium considers the Jgd a friendly associate species with autonomous government, mostly because establishing relations outside of simple trade is all but impossible.

The Liaw mainworld is noted for its extensive natural resources.

World Starport (St)

Liaw has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)

Liaw has a population of 9,000,000 sophonts (millions).

• This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
• About 80% of the population (roughly 7.2 million individuals) consists of baseline humans and other sophonts
• Around 20% of the population (approximately 1.8 million individuals) is made up of Geonee.
  • Chirpers: Where there are (married) Geonee, there are Chirpers.
• Unknown numbers of Jgd-ll-jagd inhabit the system's gas giants.
