Dinzur is a desert world with a thin tainted atmosphere. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This world is a satellite of a gas giant or another planet in the system. This is a high technology world with available technology over the standards for Charted Space. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Gadde Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. Dinzur, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships. During the Long Night this world was named Vliir Ge.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
Dinzur is a member of the Sylean Main. The naval base hosts elements of the 219th Fleet.
Stellar Data[edit]
History and Background[edit]
Dinzur remained uncolonized until 766 when the Imperial Navy decided to build a research station on its surface. Its primary function remains research into starship fuel purification systems.
However, over the years a small civilian center established itself round the port facilities and Dinzur, almost by chance, took on a secondary role. It quickly grew into Dagudashaag's primary Naval surplus distribution and resale centre. Dinzur deals mainly in uniforms, obsolete hand-held equipment and weapons to authorized civilian corporations.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Dinzur has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
