Mainworld Size (S)

This world is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

This world has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks, but protective suits not necessary, but are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

• It contains very little oxygen.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

This world has 05-15% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.

• The waters are mildly caustic and are toxic if ingested.

Esmesli has been occupied by the Jaibok.

• It has been under occupation for around four decades.
• It has been incorporated into the Korsumug Empire.

World Starport

Esmesli has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

In 1067, following its occupation of the system, the Korsumug Empire began upgrading the facilities.

• By 1070 Esmesli had a full Class A port.
• By 1072 a Korsumug naval base was in place.
• In 1099 a series of coordinated attacks destroyed much of the port infrastructure in the system, reducing it back to a Class B facility.

There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to write the policies voted on. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by voting population.

Esmesli has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Machine guns, other automatic weapons, portable energy weapons, and other military weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
