Khoengoks is a nonindustrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- It has a pre-high moderate population with over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts. Most vacuum worlds never grow to such size, but this world has extremely attractive prosperity factors that have drawn large numbers of settlers to it.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a member of the Vargr Extents in the Dzighkafe Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)
Khoengoks (Knoellighz 1106) C300874-7 Na Ph Va is found in Dzighkafe Subsector and along the 63-world, Jump-1 main so-called the Gateway to Ghoekhnael. Because the stellar primary is found to be a Blue-White Dwarf of potent luminosity, it lacked enough heat to allow this mainworld an atmosphere or hydrosphere. At 1100, Khoengoks is chosen as a mining operation by Vargr prospectors that ranged further Coreward than the Democracy of Greats was ready to colonize. Then, the UWP was D300774-8, sufficient to maintain operations and do business with the non-aligned worlds nearby and the hungry Democracy to Rimward-Trailing.
Largely featureless, the Khoengoks system does have three Gas Giants named in Galanglic as Khoengoks One, Two and Three though their names are originally in Gvegh. The system lacks planetoid belts and the Giants are without moons. The mainworld without an atmosphere does have a plethora of deposits of metals, heavy elements and radioactives.
At 1105, when the Gateway to Ghoeknael was officially discovered, mining competition, territory clashes, claimjumping and Corsair activity caused an erosion of the average Tech Level. This in turn led to the system being labeled with a Failing status and a deficiency of -1. The system UWP was revised to C300874-7 as Tech Levels and safety precautions dropped in the face of boomtown population growth, mineral rushes and further greed. As of 1109, the system suffers from frequent systems failures and other malfunctions to punctuate the Failing status. Yet, the desire to extract the valuable resources from the crust of the vacuum world keeps prospectors returning for short-term landing operations.
History-Era: Empress Wave 1125
The Wave is completely missed as it passes through Khoengoks. There are too few psionic Vargr or ranging Zhodani in-system for anyone to care if the phenomenon damaged local Psions.
History-Era: Virus Era 1130s
Virus takes further toll on this system as prospecting vessels are infected and the resulting death toll and additions to wandering Vampire Fleets causes Khoengoks UWP to slide to D300774-6. Quarantine precautions come to this world far too late from Rimward. It is only by completely running silent that this Wilds world manages to survive until the protocols arrive. From 1131 until 1140, the space around this world is littered with vessel derelicts and debris making final approach to the mainworld perilous.
