567-908 is a poor, barren world with no overt population, government, or law level.

• This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
• It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the District 268 Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector.

• The world is home to native sophont race called Shriekers, intelligent octopods about 1.0 m at the shoulder. They talk at the high end of human hearing, hence their name. Achieved TL–3 before a planetary tectonic disaster shook them back down to TL–0.
• Also named Shvreeyiyi or Denuli .

Description (Planetology)

Skipped over in the First Survey and barely charted in the Second, Denuli remained a backwater just outside the borders of the Imperium. The planet is divided into two major landforms, a desert continent that stretches across half the planet, and a huge mountain range surrounding a single large ocean. While technically habitable, the planet's very thin oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere and constant, unpredictable volcanism make Denuli unappealing for colonization. Until the discovery of its native sentient species, it was considered one of the most useless pieces of real estate in the Spinward Marches. It was only in late 1117 that the system name was changed in the Imperial survey database.

567-908 has two stars in the star system.

History & Background (Dossier)

567-908 is a poor, barren world located on the Bowman Arm in District 268 of the Spinward Marches.

• In 420, Mtume Denuli accidentally finds gemstones (later Denuli Crystals) on 567-908. The origin world of these gemstones remains unknown to anyone else until 1110.
• The discovery of the crystals on 567-908 produces a rush to mine these new gemstones.
• The IISS renames the system Denuli and places Scout security elements around it.
