• A fluid world has an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids.
• Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants.
• It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Loran Subsector of Halcyon Sector.

System Data

Naxin System

The primary is Naxin, a white subgiant star. It has a luminosity of 13.4 Sols, a mass of 1.38 Sols, and a diameter of 2.922 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum worldlet, (II) a very thin atmosphere inner world, (III) a dense atmosphere stormworld, (IV) a trace atmosphere worldlet, and (V) a very thin atmosphere worldlet. (VI) a dense rocky planetoid belt lies within the habitable zone. (VII) a ringed large gas giant, (VIII) a small gas giant, and (IX) a small ice giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

Stroop-Xylodo Subsystem

The companion is Stroop, an ordinary orange main sequence star lying approximately 2350 AU distant from Naxin. It has a luminosity of 0.072 Sols, a mass of 0.5538 Sols, and a diameter of 783,000 km. (I) a vacuum worldlet orbits within the habitable zone. (II) a very thin atmosphere iceworld, (III) Xylodo, designated the mainworld, (IV) a sparse icy planetoid belt, (V) a large gas giant, (VI) a small gas giant, and (VII) a very thin atmosphere radworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.

(III) Xylodo

(III) Xylodo is designated the mainworld. It orbits Stroop at a mean distance of 0.81 AU (121.2 million km), within the outer system. It has an orbital period of 357 days 20 hours and a rotation period of 22.5 hours. The axial tilt is 12 degrees. Xylodo has a diameter of 14,144 km, a density of 5.61 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.13 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Corrosive, with a mean surface pressure of 47.1 bar and a composition of 79% nitrogen (N₂), 15% carbon dioxide (CO₂), 4% methane (CH₄), 1% azane (NH₃), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H₂O), carbon dioxide (CO₂), hydrogen (H₂), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 16% of the surface is covered in seas of liquid methane kept fluid by the high atmospheric pressure and low surface temperatures: average tidal ranges exceed 0.1m. Mean surface temperature: -86°C. The atmosphere is dynamic and strong weather systems driven by the star scour the surface. The climate is seasonal.

Xylodo retains a single natural satellite, a vacuum worldlet named Osilis:

There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

A Xadis class Patrol Ship has been seen on patrol in this system on a naval fleet intelligence dispatch collecting data on system activities. The High Senate has expressed an interest in maintaining system security. There is no standing native military force.
