University of Regina

The University of Regina is Regina's second oldest university, founded in 230 and financed by government grants and endowments from numerous alumni.

Description (Specifications)

Today it is a broad spectrum planetary institution providing education in all areas. Its main campus is located on University Island, with secondary campuses scattered all over Regina. Its greatest strengths are history, sociology, psychology, cultural anthropology, law enforcement, and political science. The only major subject it does not cover is theology.

It is one of Regina's six best universities (see The Six Sisters).

History & Background (Dossier)

The existence of another university called the Imperial University of Regina occasionally engenders some confusion.

A long-standing and at times acrimonious debate between the two institutions exist, the Imperial University of Regina wanting its sister institution to change its name to the University of Regina System and it wanting the Imperial university to change its name to the University of the Duchy of Regina.
