Tstata is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
  • It is a member of the Karhyri Worlds in the Syzlin Subsector of Crucis Margin Sector.
  • Nearly 100% of the population is composed of Karhyri.
  • Less than 10% of the population is composed of humans and other non-human sophonts.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport (St)[edit]

Tstata has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

400,000 Karhyri. Solomani mercenaries have accepted employment and residence here. Groups of visiting alien traders and tourists may be encountered.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Tstata possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Tstata is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.

Specifically, the Karhyri are ruled by a caste of "servants of honor", which functions as a group akin to priests and administrators. They have been codified by Imperial scholars as a civil service bureaucracy, but they are more complex than that.

Law[edit]

Laws (in the form of accepted customs, modes of behaviour and "debts of honor") are strict in the Karhyri Worlds, but society seems content with this well-ordered existence.

World Culture[edit]

Karhyri have a socially-oriented caste system (distinct from their biological caste system, though members of each genetic caste are typically found in certain social castes). Integrity and personal honour are essential to their culture.

World Language/s[edit]

Military[edit]

This world is protected by an elite battalion of Advanced Recon Commandos or ARC Troopers as they are known. The unit is led by an ex-patriot Solomani General Noah Papadopoulos, who resettled here.
