Notes (2024)[edit]

The following polity-names all correspond to the polity outline shown on the original Traveller Map extending from roughly The Beyond, Subsectors B/C coreward into Foreven Sector, Subsectors N/O:

Polities:
· ==> The League of Free Worlds (LOFW) - (breakaway)
--
- WHULorigan (talk) 21:37, 14 August 2024 (UTC)

Notes 2017[edit]

In Chuck Kallenbach's 1991 Paranoia Press updates, the Principality of Bruhkarr roughly corresponds with the polity in the coreward section of The Beyond, previously identified as Die Weltbund or Weltenbund and/or the rimward section of the Avalar Consulate.

Notes 2024[edit]

Grammar Notes: While modern German does not necessarily bear upon the usage and syntax of a daughter language over 3000 years in the future, "Bund" (Ger. :"Federation") is a masculine noun and requires a masculine definite article (i.e. "Der" for the subject/nominative case; "Die" is feminine). Although "Welt" is feminine, it is not the noun-component in the compound form "Weltbund". Further, "Welt-" is a singular noun-form and would mean "World-Federation" (i.e. of one world, without connotations of more). To properly convey an interstellar polity would require the plural noun-form to act as modifier: "Welten-", and thus the complete form "Der Weltenbund": "The Federation of Worlds".)
