Notes (2019)[edit]

I've received two replies so far on what ship that is (the larger of the two) on the cover. One confident reply was Gallant class battle rider and one uncertain reply that it was a Nolikian class Battle Rider. Nolikian is listed on the battle rider page, but Gallant was not. There is a Gallant class light cruiser though.

David, We have citations for the Nolikian class Battle Rider.

Just got an email from David Jacques-Watson confirming that it's a Gallant class battle rider. He even sent a sample scan of the counters used in the game and the profile matches what's on the cover. Plus the Triumph class battle tender. The specs are TNE but not in a format that I understand. I think they're simplified for players using Battle Rider as a tabletop game.

Here's what I recognize: TL-15 (both ships) Triumph performance is jump-3 and 2G and can carry four battle riders. Gallant performance is 6G.

If it will help, I can email you the scan of the counter that David sent me.

Yes, please.

Size Tables (2019)[edit]

Battle Rider didn't include tonnage sizes or displacements so it's very hard to place these ships since their stats don't fit in with the rest of the setting very well. Many of the ships were featured in other TNE products with conventional stats, but several designs were unique to the two games in this series and authors/creators/fans had to create conventional characteristics for them.

Size: The size modifier of the craft is based on its total displacement. Consult the following chart and record the appropriate value. If the vessel is equipped with socket extenders, add the notation"E" after the size value.'
