The Stik-kit is an adhesive patch, about 10cm by 10cm. One side of the patch is a layer of black ridged plastic, the other is a smooth white layer. The patch is activated by the user flexing the patch, which causes the white side to become extremely sticky, and will adhere to almost any surface. The patch will adhere under most conditions including vacuum, under water and most atmospheres. The adhesive cures in a few seconds of application. The adhesive may be inactivated by the application of a small electric charge, the patch comes with an integral battery. Once deactivated, the stik-kit is discarded.
The active stik-kit can hold about 100kg, the limits of the plastic backing. The flexible plastic patches are used for many different types of quick, semi-permanent repairs.
Stik-kits are sold either individually or in packages of 10.
