Sirim is a high-population world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Biika Subsector of Verge Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- It is an Xboat hub.
- This world lies on (and is the namesake of) the Sirim Loop.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Sirim has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x7 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Sirim is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Sirim has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Sirim has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water. There will be a number of small seas or one larger body of water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Ilelish Interstellar, the leading media corporation within Verge Sector, has offices and facilities on the world.
- It is known for its intrusive and sensationalist style of journalism.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Sirim has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Sirim has a population of 2,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Sirim possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-5.
World Government (G)[edit]
Sirim is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.
World Law (L)[edit]
Sirim has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]
Sirim, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 3 (ordinary)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: C (very abundant)
- Labor: 8 (hundreds of millions)
- Infrastructure: F (very comprehensive)
- Efficiency: +2 (good)
World Culture[edit]
- Heterogenity: 8 (discordant)
- Acceptance: C (xenophilic)
