Shau Pol is one of the Boutique Worlds.

Shau Pol has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

A single suit or dress often goes for more than 50,000 cr. They also make tapestries for noble families and rugs of the highest quality.
- Shau Pol red is a trademark color only found on this planet. Made from an indigenous species of plant. It is a highly guarded secret as to its production and export is strictly prohibited.
- Spider silk from the indigenous Wooly Tree Spider is widely used in fabric for high-end clothing on Shau Pol. The spider is bred for domestic production of its silk. This silk has an iridescent quality that remains even when dyed.
