Description (Specifications)[edit]

The Port of Nickle Eugenia class Bulk Container Vessel is a deliberate misnomer. More heavier armed than several smaller warships, this behemoth is envisioned as the self-escorting merchant cruiser. A trader which can go open up new markets and deal with small local military assets should the need arise. The company of mercenary security forces are trained in protected forces operations and can board and capture smaller vessels. The vast fuel tankage precludes a large cargo hold. They can not turn a profit, without government subsidies. An instrument of policy, a political statement as much as a peaceful merchant, they find themselves cast in a variety of extra-governmental roles. It is constructed as a long-range design. The vessel is a TL-13 design.

1. Tonnage / Hull The Port of Nickle Eugenia class Bulk Container Vessel class is constructed using a 142,000 dTon hull built in a partially streamlined close configuration.

3. Performance The vessel mounts a Cobalt Dynamics Jump 4 drive, Four Magnum Flow Reactionless 1G drives, and a Power Plant-4, giving performance of Jump-4 and 4G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 3 and an emergency agility of 4. It is a long-range design: the internal fuel tankage is sufficient for a single jump 4, with drop tanks for an additional jump 4 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration.
  • The engineering section has a main control room.
    • Ladders, gantries and platforms give access to the machinery.
  • The jump drive utilizes a hull grid.
  • The jump drive is fitted with a jump governor.

  • If multiple examples of the design are ordered all of the ships in the production run qualify for a 20% discount, which reduces the price per unit to MCr66,580.69 (not including subcraft).
11. Construction Time 216 weeks individually, 173 weeks in quantity.
  • Build times can be reduced by mass production and the efficiencies such processes generate, by increased financing, and by allotting additional yard resources and facilities to the construction contract.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Designed and built for Talokan Armed Forces as a merchant marine vessel which operates as a quasi-commercial capacity. The government underwrites these vessels and they have autonomy to operate, in so far as their operations further the goals of the government. They can be called upon at anytime to render service for the state. The military grade armored hull was re-tasked from a cancelled project and this hybrid emerged from the ashes. With serveral redundant systems, small scale pirates have learned to leave these alone. Must pirate vessels are ill equipped to cope with a particle accelerator, missile bay AND a meson gun on their targets.
